In the age of AI, solutions don’t have to be complex…
They need to be simple and affordable.
At Occam, Inc we distinguish ourselves from other boutique consulting firms by offering clients with a value proposition that is rooted in fully understanding the problem and the user before diving into solutioning.
We got our company name and channel our ethos from the famous philosopher William of Occam who espoused the theory called “Occam’s Razor” which posits that a solution to a problem is preferrably not found through needless over-complication.
Far too many agencies don’t think about how to structure their clients’ problems and instead rush to invest valuable time and capital into the wrong solution—leading to sunk costs and poor organizational morale.
Occam Inc’s problem-solving approach involves three core principles in the form of questions:
WIIFIM (“What’s in for Me?”): we try to filter everything through the client’s lens, which entails gleaning what the client actually needs based on the user’s painpoints. Sometimes clients don’t know who the “user” is and we make sure we spent the right amount of time clearly defining the WIIFIM.
What’s the end result? We like to start at the end state first. What does the client define as a success? What are their holistic goals?
What’s comes between WIIFIM and the end result? This is where the problem-solving begins. We work to determine how can client teams give their users what they want while simultaneously meeting their end-goals.
Every Occam Inc engagement starts with these three questions. We make sure we have clearly identified both the user’s needs and the end result before we do any actual problem solving with you and we pride ourselves on making this first stage of our engagement affordable and effective so that you can see the value proposition before you make the commitment to invest your valued resources in us.
